Sensory Food Network Ireland was established in 2014 to address the documented needs and gaps by the Irish food industry in relation to sensory science. The initiative brings together a network of partners within the food industry who are 'dedicated to delivering a comprehensive, gold standard service to industry, while, at the same time, developing and improving sensory research and consumer testing methodologies'.

Sensory requested a website that would be easily navigable for users on the front-end, as well as a clean, no-frills CMS for the web administrators. In addition, the site is a hub of information about the latest news and events relating to Sensory, so Realise4 were keen to produce a site that was fresh and bright in order to reduce clutter.

Smooth functionality was another important aspect of this project. Individuals or groups have the option of becoming members, which provides access to private resources. If a visitor is logged-out or is not registered as a user, then these resources will remain hidden from view.
